BATAM today | Indonesian Police Chief General Police Drs. Idham Azis., M.Sc. along with TNI Commander, TNI Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, S.I.P., and Minister of PUPR Dr. Ir. M. Basoeki Hadimoeljono, M.Sc reviewed the construction of a special hospital for controlling infectious diseases, especially Covid-19 (Corona) on Galang Island, Batam City, Riau Islands Province. Wednesday (03/25).
This hospital was built on March 8, 2020 which is targeted to be completed on March 28, 2020 and is ready to be utilized.
“Until now the hospital construction has reached 78% and later this hospital will have 340 observation rooms and 20 isolation rooms, besides that tomorrow medical devices will be imported from Jakarta using Hercules aircraft and it is expected that the hospital will be completed in accordance with the target “, the TNI Commander stated.
The construction of this hospital facility is divided into 3 zones, namely Zone A including supporting buildings such as mess officers, doctors and nurses, sterilization buildings, pharmaceutical buildings, nutrition buildings, laundry, warehouses and power houses.
Zone B includes storage facilities and supporting facilities such as isolation rooms, observation rooms, laboratories, sterilization rooms, GWT, Central Gas Medical, corpse installations, helicopter pads, and utility zones.
Finally, Zone C is intended for the next stage by utilizing land reserves. The entire work took place under the supervision of the Riau Islands Province Regional Settlement Infrastructure (BPPW).
Also attending the visit this time were the Military Commander / Bukit Barisan, the Riau Islands Police Chief, the Assistant to the Commander of the TNI and the Assistant to the Police Chief. (Monti)
